Being at the  leading edge of Neuropsychology for over 20 years, we have witnessed firsthand the incredible  advancements in neuroscience.  Despite profound progress in understanding the brain and its relationship with behavior, there remains a gap in taking academic knowledge and translating it into practical therapeutic, educational, and long-term life solutions.

It is with this pervasive challenge in mind that we have built the foundational pillars of our Neuropsychology practice and the core approach to our assessment and therapeutic intervention.  Simply put, NeuroSense takes  complex principles and translates them into tangible, pragmatic,  and actionable steps.  Academic understanding alone and conclusions of the “what” without a deep dive into the “why” and “how”  can result in expensive testing or therapeutic interventions that can potentially hold limited value.

At NeuroSense Psychology, we target healthy brain development by bridging innovative advancements with individualized behavioral change.  It is our pleasure to offer a central resource hub for emerging knowledge and relevant approaches.

Our Philosophy

First and foremost, we entered this field with the passion and commitment to make a difference in people’s lives.   We pride ourselves on our “Super Powers” of immeasurable patience, flexibility, transparency, intuition, accuracy, attunement, expertise, and innovative thinking.

It is our ultimate goal is to clearly explain and use what we learn about the brain to create actionable solutions that make sense in the scheme of a whole life.  Because we strongly feel we have a problem of “generalization” in our field — one of figuring out the “how to” of applying insight and awareness gained through testing and therapy into real-time daily life — we have needed to become experts at thinking creatively when solving for the limitations and barriers people face in making more significant progress.

Our first priority is to ensure that referral questions are clearly addressed, priorities established, and real-time actions taken toward healing and growth.

Our Approach

To Assessment…

Based on precise assessment results, we create personalized recommendations and road maps for our clients. These “growth journeys” serve as a progressive guidepost to help our clients evolve and are intended to establish a lifetime foundation for balance and health.   We recognize that understanding test results, what drives behavior, learning to make changes, and pursuing recommended solutions is an evolving and dynamic process requiring oversight and guidance.  Therefore, our assessments do not end with a single testing event.  It is our job to ensure follow-through and ongoing collaboration.

To Therapy…

At NeuroSense Psychology, the approach to treatment is goal-oriented and solution focused.  When treating children and adolescents, there is close collaboration with family members, and their involvement is expected so that the entire system and all moving pieces can be addressed. Parent coaching is always weaved in.  The process of forming goals is collaborative, and progress toward goals is regularly reviewed with deliberate and informed fine-tuning toward success.
