In most companies when a supervisor says, ‘We’re going to do some team building!’ employees start re-running old episodes of The Office… Despite its reputation for being, well, lame, team building is the most important investment you can make for your people.
There is a reason Fortune 500 Companies are investing heavily in corporate team building – because there is a high return on investment. Results have included great successes in drawing out and nurturing talent, creating high performing teams, inspiring achievement, enhancing business performance, securing commitment, developing grit and resilience, adaptation and flexibility, and working smarter. From a Human Resources perspective, human capital is any companies greatest asset and often times greatest cost center.
