First time going to therapy

Your first time going to therapy can be scary.  There are challenges or difficulties but we can’t forget the flip side of the coin.

If somebody were to ask you “What is good about you?  What is the best thing about you?”.  It’s really surprising when we have so many people stare at us with blank faces.  They struggle to come up with what’s good about them.  I think a lot of us have challenges with that.

That flip side of the coin is identifying what someone’s inner strengths are. What their “super powers” are. By doing that we often help kids ignite their passions and interests.  They feel really good about themselves because they know “Hey there is something really cool about myself!” We emphasize it because it’s a spring board for them moving forward in life.
