Dr. Dustin Weissman, PsyD is a postdoctoral psychotherapist practicing in Calabasas under the supervision of Dr. Jonine Nazar-Biesman, PsyD, ABPdN. Dr. Weissman facilitates individual and group therapy from a Cognitive-Behavioral Therapeutic Model, utilizing Solutions-Focused techniques, and administers psychological assessments. He is also the owner of well renowned in-home tutoring company, Conejo Valley Tutoring.
Dr. Weissman has a wide array of education and experience working with the mental health and academic communities. He published his dissertation titled, Impacts of Playing Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games (MMORPGs) on Individuals’ Subjective Sense of Feeling Connected with Others. It has already been downloaded globally, from over 50 countries on 6 continents.
Dr. Weissman has been featured in numerous articles and podcasts, including as an expert on screen time in online articles by Rodale’s Organic Life and SheKnows.com, and as an expert in internet addiction by the VC Reporter. He has given numerous workshops and trainings at schools, treatment centers, and to mental health professionals on a variety of topics including anxiety, balancing school and life, and internet addiction related themes.
Additionally, he holds a board position with the Ventura County Psychological Association where he actively engages with the psychological community.
